Experimental bread resembling Pumpernickel

Combine:
1 cup popcorn, cracked after measuring
1 cup red wheat, cracked after measuring
1 cup Hodgson Mill Rye flour
1 scant tsp. salt
4 cups water

After loading most of the dough to the crock-pot insert,
a small amount of excess dough was baked at 400 degr. F.
for 30 minutes after a short rise. A sample of that is
included in the photo above to illustrate the color change
due to the 24-hour low temperature cooking.
